When it's late at night and all you want to do is ignore the fact that college classes will start in the next few weeks, the easiest thing to do is curl up and watch a movie. All of these are available on Netflix U.S. for your convenience.
1) The Princess Bride
A classic that is highly quotable and a spirit-lifter, guaranteed to help you put off worrying about college for a bit.
2) Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
A modern classic, of a sorts. Familiar enough that you know you'll enjoy it, but not so much that you will remember everything about it (unless you're like me and have already watched it too much)
3) Odd Thomas
If you're a fan of strange movies, this is definitely a strange movie. I enjoyed it because the premise is highly original, and the main character--played by the late Anton Yelchin--is lovable and determined, and his girlfriend just as much so. There are some graphic scenes in this movie, so be careful if you have an easily upset stomach.
4) Survivor (2015)
I enjoy a good action movie sometimes, and this film is a good match of actors as well as a good plot twist that's not too early. It's slightly cheesy, but there are redeeming qualities.

5) The Secret of Kells
If you want a movie that will pull on your heartstrings, this is that movie. It is shown in an unique animation style, and has a great story-line about the art of making manuscripts set in early Ireland. It may be a little childish, but it is still a great movie!
